Basic and advanced training in agriculture are focal activities in Germany's development cooperation. The agricultural training programmes organised by InWEnt are continually adapted to partner countries' needs and development policy requirements. Earlier individually custom-tailored programmes for specialists and managers have now been developed into a modular system of training measures geared to modern human resources management and organisational development. The article describes the International Leadership Training concept for the agricultural sector in West Africa.
