Data protection statement by DLG Verlag

In accordance with § 13 Subparagraph 1 of the Law on Telemedia (TMG), any teleservice provider is obliged to give its users a generally intelligible briefing on the nature, scope and purposes of the collection and processing of personal data before the use process starts. The contents of the briefing have to be downloadable for the user at any time. Every business is obliged to inform the user which personal data it collects and processes.

DLG-Verlag GmbH attaches the utmost importance to the security of user data and compliance with data protection law provisions. The collecting, processing and use of personal data is subject to the provisions of legislation currently in force and the EU Data Protection Directive. In accordance with Article 4 No. 1 EU GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation), any information concerning identified or identifiable natural persons, such as names, addresses, Email addresses, date of birth, profession, health details or denomination, is referred to as personal data.

Data transmission to third parties
No data will be transmitted to third parties without the consent of the party concerned or without a legal basis.

Newsletter
Users have the option to register on the mailing list for the Rural 21 Newsletter of DLG-Verlag GmbH. Users have the right and are free to deregister from the Newsletter mailing list at any time. All this requires is an Email to ruraldevelopment@dlg.org. Another option for users is to deregister themselves via the deregistering link.

Newsletter tracking
If the user has explicitly given his or her prior consent, newsletter tracking, which is also referred to as web beacons or tracking pixels, will be applied. When the Newsletter is dispatched, the external server can then gather certain recipient data, such as the time of retrieval, the IP address or details of the Email programme the client is using. The name of the image file is individualised for each user by attaching a unique ID, with the mail sender taking note of which ID belongs to which Email address. He or she can then establish which Newsletter recipient has just opened the Email.

Matomo web analysis service

With your consent, we use the open source software Matomo to analyze and statistically evaluate the use of the website. Cookies are used for this. The information obtained about website usage is transmitted exclusively to our server and summarized in pseudonymous usage profiles. We use the data to evaluate the use of the website. The data collected will not be passed on to third parties.

The IP addresses are anonymized (IP masking) so that they cannot be assigned to individual users.

If the user does not wish DLG-Verlag GmbH to actively use data for internal purposes, in accordance with Article 21 Paragraphs 2-4 EU-GDPR, the user is entitled to object to this use and processing at any time. All this requires is a corresponding Email to dlg-verlag@dlg.org. This does not affect the special case of a legally prescribed blocking of data instead of deleting data in accordance with Articles 17-19 EU-GDPR.

Data transmission and logging for system-internal and statistical purposes
When accessing this website, the user’s Internet browser automatically transmits data to the web server for technical reasons. Each set of data consists of the date and time of accessing, the URL of the referencing website, the retrieved file, the volume of data transmitted, the type and version of browser, the operating system and the user’s IP address. This data cannot be assigned to a certain person. The data that has been stored can only be evaluated internally, and only for statistical purposes.
