Migrants - the untapped potential

Economic migrants and refugees have a decisive influence on the development of their countries of origin. This is true at both economic and political levels. Astonishingly, at a political level only minimal interest is shown in this fact; the diaspora?s potential is being barely tapped. And yet migration processes generate structural points of leverage which hold great promise for development cooperation.
