Global food security news platform launched

Thomson Reuters Foundation and FAO launch global food security news platform.

A comprehensive global news platform dedicated to food issues was launched in October 2014 by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the corporate charity of the world's biggest news and information provider, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), thereby reflecting the practical implementation of the joint Thomson-Reuters-Foundation and FAO project already reported by Rural 21 in August.

The site will provide news on food production, food security, food waste, agriculture, land use, under-nutrition and malnutrition, and food affordability issues, among others. Reports will be produced and sourced by the Thomson Reuters Foundation and made available for free usage worldwide in order to spread information on food security as widely as possible.

The news platform is hosted : Thomson Reuters Foundation
