New virtual Community of Practice on contract farming is online

GIZ has launched the virtual Community Practice on contract farming, which offers an open space for broader exchange beyond borders.

Are you an agricultural development actor with a special interest in contract farming being stimulated by opportunities to jointly develop innovative online collaboration?

Join GIZ’s new online platform to build up capacities and to make better and greater use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) to advance food security and nutrition across the developing world.

The virtual Community of Practice – vCoP –on contract farming provides a range of tools fostering an anytime, anywhere environment of increased co-operation and teamwork. It offers open space for broader exchange sharing knowledge, documenting best practices, and eventually learning from each other.

Discover the benefits, tools and functions this user-friendly platform has to offer. Get registered on Global Campus 21, GIZ’s international platform for learning and co-operation, and intensify your working relationships by designing your own profile so that other community members can get to know you. Background

This online platform was jointly developed by GIZ’s Sector Project Agricultural Policy and Food Security and the Sector Network Rural Development (SNRD). After publishing the Contract Farming Handbook , Vol I and newly launched Vol II and trainings of trainers (ToT) GIZ has conducted, it is a further innovative step to promote contract farming as a promising tool of inclusive business.
