DLG Agritechnica 2015
Every two years the German Agriculture Society – DLG – organises Agritechnica, the world’s leading exhibition for agricultural machinery and equipment. Innovations in agricultural machinery and the latest solutions and concepts for the future of plant production are presented at the exhibition every two years in Hanover, Germany. This year, Agritechnica will be held from 8 to 14 November 2015.
Presenting the exhibition’s programme in September, Agritechnica project manager Freya von Czettritz noted that a range of events will focus on agricultural developments and markets in Africa and Asia.
Special on “Major Crops Worldwide”
Technology and knowledge are key drivers of successful agricultural plant production worldwide. Millions of hectares across the globe are used to grow rice, soy, sugar cane, cotton, etc. However, to meet future demand levels for food, feed and agricultural commodities yields must be increased. Farmers, consultants and politicians are seeking ways to enable crop production in their own countries to be raised sustainably and efficiently. There is a particularly great need for state-of-the-art technological solutions, strategies and best practices. According to von Czettritz the new Agritechnica Special feature on “Major Crops Worldwide” in Hall 21 will give visitors an ideal opportunity to exchange thoughts and experiences on potential solutions with exhibitors and decision-makers from numerous countries. Hot topics will be explored in more depth in the forum presentations, which will be held in English.
New: International Dealer and Service Provider Centre
Another new project at Agritechnica 2015 will be the International Dealer and Service Provider Centre, organised by DLG, the German LandBauTechnik Association and the European umbrella federation of agricultural machinery dealers CLIMMAR. The dealer and service provider centre will be located in Hall 2 of the Hanover grounds. For agricultural machinery dealers from all over the world, this will be a central and comprehensive information and service point, said von Czettritz. The integrated Service Provider Centre will feature competent service companies from areas including finance, insurance, logistics, used equipment exchanges, freight forwarders, customs services and HR services. Visitors will have an excellent opportunity to make new contacts from around the world, including customers looking for used machinery and equipment, remarked von Czettritz, adding that daily Themed Talks will provide answers and insights on issues such as equipment insurance, or customs formalities when exporting used machinery.
International Visitors’ Lounge in Pavilion 32
The central meeting place for visitors from all over the world at Agritechnica 2015 will be the International Visitors’ Lounge located in Pavilion 32 at Agritechnica Plaza in the direct vicinity of DLG’s large information stand. In the International Visitors’ Lounge guests from Germany and abroad can meet their business partners, conduct discussions and plan their tour of the exhibition, notes DLG in a press release. Gratis internet connections will also be provided on hardware so that visitors can check their emails and stay in contact with their companies and business partners throughout the world.
Access to emerging markets
Following its successful launch two years ago, the international series of events called “Ag Machinery International – Access to emerging markets” will once again attract the attention of countless visitors, notes DLG in its recent press release. On various Agritechnica days, focus will be on the markets for agricultural equipment and machinery in Belarus, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Poland, Romania, Russia, Tanzania and Ukraine. Market potentials, market access avenues, financial frameworks and technology requirements will be explored.
International contact forum “Match & Meet”
This year’s Agritechnica will once again feature an international “Match & Meet” contact forum enabling the initiation of cooperation arrangements and business connections. Exhibitors and visitors can register online with their profile and their concrete search data or their offers. Supply and demand are then compared using a dedicated software and initial meetings are subsequently arranged at Agritechnica. Interested parties can find more information and online registration for “Match & Meet” on the agritechnica.converne internet site.
