Rural education is a key resource in the fight against poverty and hunger. The growing need for agricultural products is leading to higher prices and encourages investments in rural development. These investments are instilling prospects for the economic development of poor countries. Rich countries should now finance an innovation and education offensive for developing countries, as compensation for the brain drain and in the interest of securing supplies.
