Guidelines for Rural 21
Based on the increasing significance of the right on sustentation in international discussion on development and in context of goals of Millenums Declaration. Rural 21 will foster politics and strategies for the rural sector and push their application
- win decisionmakers, specialists and executives for a integrated and crosslinked approach in development of the rural sector within the process of urbanisation;
- put the network of and on rural sectoral interaction in correlation with environment (e.g. water, energy, soil, infrastructure, trade, health, literacy) in a more integrated way;
- supply decisionmakers and specialists with knowledge in experience and innovation;
- be forum for international exchange of experience and agenda setting advocat of the population of rural districts;
- give impulse for international and national coaction and cooperation of governmental and privately initiated development work;
- improve coaction and cooparation of international and national players and give impulse for advancement and development of rural districts;
- be open for controverse discussion so that players in development work can learn from each other and be forum of this discussion;
- improve the dialogue between science, politics, business and practice;
- emphasise potentials of the rural district in the fight against hunger and poverty
